Welcome


Good day and welcome to the Devlog.

This project is a task for university to demonstrate a Combat Controller.  To achieve this, I will be using Unreal Engine and Behavior Trees to build a number of AI characters which the combat controller will manage. This is my first attempt at this and am unsure where this journey will lead us.

The key timings are:

  • Week 1 - Building the world, creating characters and designing behavior trees. - complete
  • Week 2 - Develop the behavior trees for multiple tasks. Likely tasks include patrol, assault and flank player.
  • Week 3 - Create Combat Controller Object and communicate with AI characters
  • Week 4 - Refine Combat Controller to manage multiple AI characters 
  • Week 5 - Fault finding and bug fixing
  • Week 6 - Polish
